Milan fashion week was full of surprises and extraordinary collections with the “Italian luxury†touch. But, nothing was more incredible and breath taking that the Dolce and Gabbana “Viva La Mamma” runway collection. Their recent campaigns have been representing La Famiglia (The Family) through different generations. But this collection was honoring motherhood having the word “Mom†translated into 15 different languages in their garments, and significant messages honoring mothers. The models walked the catwalk with their babies and toddlers with matching dresses and there was even a pregnant model. The collection was vey D&G. Silk dresses, signature red roses, a lot of lace and most of the prints represented motherhood, but still keeping it very high fashion.
