Until There’s A Cure

A Simple Idea with a Profound Impact

Fueled by concerns about the effects of HIV/AIDS on the lives of their children, two California mothers were inspired to create the non-profit organization Until There’s A Cure® Foundation in 1993.

The Foundation was the first non-profit organization to create and sell a bracelet to raise funds for a cause.  The original cuff bracelet was designed by Isabel Geddes of Florence, Italy in 1993. What distinguished our Foundation from others seeking to help those affected by HIV/AIDS is that the primary source of financing for this effort is The Bracelet — a symbolic, simple yet elegant, cuff-style bracelet uniting people to fight HIV/AIDS. The Bracelet was designed to help increase awareness, and to promote compassion, understanding, and responsibility.

Our product line now includes eleven different styles of bracelets, made of varied materials and representing price points from $1 to $125.  Several of our bracelets provide a market for HIV+ craftspeople and support AIDS care and prevention in the developing world.

A symbol which serves as a bridge uniting people to fight HIV/AIDS, The Bracelet increases awareness, compassion, understanding, and responsibility.
