Take, for example, Lisa Kline Men, a high-end yet relaxed men’s store on Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles, where bestsellers are cashmere sweaters by Inhabit for $460 to $800, $80 tees by Vince and $238 jeans by Citizens of Humanity. If the shopper needs to rest up from a tough day in the dressing rooms, owner Lisa Kline has the perfect solution: La-Z-Boys and Nintendo games, plasma TVs and a fully stocked, glass-topped bar.
“Happy hour is every day,†says Lisa Kline District Manager Erin Friel. “It’s not unusual for people to come in on a Friday or Saturday morning and ask for a Bloody Mary while they browse the racks.â€
Owner Lisa Kline believes that men are generally scared to shop. “I’ve created a place where they feel comfortable, where they want to hang out,†she says. “They have a shot or two, and it doesn’t feel like shopping anymore.â€
